About Ignacio Garcia

Ignacio Garcia is an expert in Linux and other Unices, Windows, MacOS and OS/2 computer systems, as well as most network and Internet services used today. For more than 10 years he has been studying these environments in order to deliver the best solutions to business customers.

After his graduation from St. Edward’s University in Austin TX in 1999, Ignacio Garcia worked in the United States as systems administrator, and later, with the help of his wife, Paola, founded his own company, Oenus Informática, in Spain.

Oenus Informática, a computer consulting company established in Gandia, Spain, in 2002, help business achieve the highest level of computer efficiency by designing, implementing and delivering the best computing environments available, focusing mostly in the integration of Open Source Software in the corporate market.

Since then, Ignacio has been working with some of the top companies in the area, and in 2005, Areva Challenge, the official French challenger to the 32nd America’s Cup, chose Oenus Informática for all their IT needs, including the design of their networks, VPNs, Linux and Windows servers, and other Internet services in their 2 Spanish bases.

In his free time, Ignacio Garcia still likes to investigate on how to improve the computer experince using mostly Linux as he has been doing for more than a decade (here, courtesy of the Internet Archive Wayback Machine, a copy of the first Syldavia Linux site from 1999 and also the latest update (1996) of his first personal site, published in 1995!). Now, this brand-new site will serve as a documentation repository where users might find interesting ideas and thoughts.
